Open Video Contest
Creative Commons and the Fedora Project have teamed up to promote open video by launching a contest. Join for a chance to win a Fedora-branded Sony Camcorder.
How does it work?
- To participate, you will need to submit one short video, talking about freedom and openness.
- Be as creative as you wish, and don't limit yourself to advertisement videos.
- Fedora stands for Infinite Freedom, and any video dealing with the idea of freedom and openness qualifies.
- We have opened the floor to everyone who wants to express their ideas creatively — even if it be an abstract video.
- Your video should be in OGG Theora format, under 10 MB in size and under 30 seconds in duration.
- Your work should be released under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 License.
- Your work may only include original elements and elements in the public domain or released under terms compatible with Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5 (i.e., any version/jurisdiction Attribution license or any jurisdiction Attribution-ShareAlike license version 2.0 or above). See our content curators page for links to a wealth of reusable audio, video, and images.
- The submissions will be accepted between 00:00 UTC June 20, 2006 and 00:00 UTC August 20, 2006.
- By submitting your entry, you agree to be bound by the Official Rules so make sure you read them before you email your entry.
